Energy Tools & Resources

Partnering with communities around the state to help them understand energy choice options and tradeoffs, while providing them with tools to help them make their own best decisions, helps us better understand energy transition barriers and opportunities. Our team is led by Michigan Technological University and Michigan State University and includes members from additional organizations across the state listed in our partners section of this website. We thank the National Science Foundation Convergence program for our primary MICARES support.

The GCR: Collaborative Research: Socio-Technological System Transitions: Michigan Community & Anishinaabe Renewable Energy Sovereignty (MICARES) project is funded by National Science Foundation (NSF) grant #1934346.
